Fire Phuchka - New Delicacy Must We Experience

Fire phuchka! Experience the fireball entering your mouth! Happy Mahalaya!

Journey to Basic Mountaineerig Course at Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI)

Prasenjit Mukherjee (After BMC at HMI)
HMI (Himalayan Mountaineering Institute) was not well known to me but for recent past. Of late members from our team are frequent trainees in HMI. Last December, it was the turn of Prasenjit, and this time, Dipankar Banerjee starts his 28-day long training today. Yesterday was the day to see-off at Sealdah.  We attended him. Depankar, a high school teacher by profession, was rather excited and at the same time bit low for he has to leave his family behind for so long days! Okay! This is how life goes on.

Prasenjit Mukherjee before BMC

What I get from those completed BMC is that each day you face new and stronger challenges which will take litmus test on your character. You feel helpless. You feel frustrated, fatigued, depressed. But you need inner strength to keep on going. You need to overcome your weakness by shear mental strength. This helps developing character.

Dipankar Banerjee on the way to HMI

Fortunate to meet lots of HMI-ans of late! They look simple. But so far as mountaineering goes, they are real marvels! The paths that anyone would dare to go, they take on by choice with full gaity.

Subha with family, me, Dipankar (Check Shirt), Pappu, Prasenjit

Anyway, I am not the expert to comment on HMI. Someday, I will videograph those who have completed BMC from HMI and update this post. Till then let me share few pictures of my friends / brothers during their HMI days. And surely, a snap of HAPPY JOURNEY episode to Dipankar Banerjee.

Prasenjit, Dipankar & Me

BTW did I mention, I got my new phone. This OPPO A5S has 4GB RAM, 64 GB Memory. Battery stands for nearly 24 hours. Considering my usage as hotspot for soft browsing, this sounds good. Picture is OPPO class. But I really do not like OPPO hiding ages. It should be original. But they are using some filter in Camera to look you younger needlessly. Sound is good but not like Samsung. It lacks that sharpness and brilliance. The set is lightweight and grips well.

Few links for those interest on HMI:-
That's the staff I had tonight.

Lastly, I have revised my Joomla learning and created a Joomla site after many years. It is always great to maneuver a CMS as powerful as Joomla 3.*. This is the site.  WB ePension Guide (This is a helpful guide for Govt. Employees who want to apply for Pension and also for the schools to fill up pension papers.

Shoulder pain from Laptop Use an Effective Remedy

Adjustable height of the foldable table

For couple of days, I am suffering from Shoulder Pain, an obvious sign of overuse of laptop. Few days back, got this wonderful folding laptop table. It has few amazing features:
1. Adjust height
2. Adjust inclination
3. There is a guard wall to prevent accidental slip of laptop
4. A table fan charged via USB to keep laptop cool.

And above all, with consistent use of this work table, my pain has reduced a lot.

Thank you friend for such a pleasant gift.

How to Prepare for Mathematics Examination (Last night before exam)

Well. Math exam is here. And now my lad is ready to take a delicious sip of Math Magic. It is no brainer that you shall struggle. But if there is will , there is way. So, this is the checklist of things must you do to avoid disaster:

1. Practice construction.
2. Then practice Graph
3. Then mug up few values of Trigonometry
4. Mug up few formulae of mensuration, like , area, perimeter, volume etc.
5. Finally comes your saviour, Mr. Algebrea. Go through the formulae, solve 2/3 equations, 2/3 types of factors, and find value.
These are really helpful to build confidence, trust me. Besides, don't go for the toughest sums. Go for the easier problems. In any examination, the papers are set keeping in view potentials of students with different levels of abilities. So, you may expect most questions to be easy while few (usually less than 20 - 30%, twisted. Just ensure your slice of bread and have a enjoyable test.

If you happen to visit this page well before examination, I would say to prepare your SECRET COPY for Math. Write down the following in that copy from the very beginning:
1. Construction
2. Theorems in Geometry
3. Algebra formula with 4/5 typical problems on each formulae.
4. Menstruations formula and 4/5 typical use of each formulae.
5. Statistics - 1/2 sample problems from each chapter
6. Co ordinate - Each formulae plus 2 sample problem on each formulae

That's done.
Just enjoy your Mathematics test and remember this world has lots of better things for you apart from Math. So, instead of getting panicked, concentrate on your SECRET COPY and other wonderful aspects of life like gardens full of flowers, great dinner you must have once the test is over, company of your friends.

Well for those still not sure how to sum up the staff, my suggestion is to collect a good summary book.
Oswaal Book

I have found one from Amazon, Oswaal Sample Questions Book for Mathematics. The book gives summary of all essential chapters including all formula and mind map. Priced really low, you must grab your copy. Otherwise, just create your secret companion.
Anyway, if you like this quick note, please let me know.

I drafted this while preparing my Class - IX students for Half Yearly Exam.

With little modification, you can apply the same strategy to combat Math exam of any standard.

Enjoy. Happy Reading.
